The flowers shine against a background of dark green foliage in late spring to early summer often with a lighter rebloom in fall. In case you were wondering if there is a Kobai #1...yes, there is, but it is not as desired because most of its flowers are white with a few deep pink flowers whereas Kobai #2 has mostly deep pink flowers with the white variegation, which is what makes it so special. Growing naturally to only 2 to 3 feet high and equally as wide makes this one excellent for use in garden beds, pots or bonsai.
