In late spring, Dauntless shows off abundant clusters of 2-inch diameter funnel-shape flowers with deep purplish red petals surrounding a scarlet eye zone. The upper petal is splashed with deep red freckles. The plant itself has a low and spreading habit to 2 feet tall by 3 or more feet wide. This lower profile makes it an excellent selection for use in groupings or as a groundcover or low border in the landscape. The evergreen foliage emerges light green in spring maturing to a handsome dark green throughout the rest of the year. The butterflies and hummingbirds will thank you for planting this beauty!
