Oval-shape, toothed, strongly-veined, dark green leaves tinged in bronze are an excellent backdrop to the flowers and remain attractive throughout the season. At 8 to 10 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide you can grow Kern's Pink as a shrub or remove lower branches to form an attractive small tree. For best flowering, at least 5 hours of direct sunlight per day is suggested. Responds very well to pruning for shaping, size control and tree forming.
