Topping out at about 5 to 6 feet tall and equally as wide, Glen St. Mary forms a dense, rounded shrub clothed in evergreen leaves emerging a bronzy color turning to silver grey and then to grey-green with a metallic gold color on the undersides. In fall, clusters of small white flowers produce a delightful perfume that fills the garden with intoxicating aroma. Small reddish berries follow the flowers and are a favorite treat for birds.
